Ted W. Hight, III

Ted Hight is an accomplished business attorney with more than 20 years' experience providing dynamic and proactive guidance to companies across a broad range of sectors. Ted provides complete life-cycle solutions to businesses of all sizes, including entrepreneurs, start-ups, small closely held businesses, and large international publicly traded companies.

Ted’s practice focuses on business acquisitions and sales, strategic transactions, business formations, franchise law, and a variety of general corporate transactions. 

Ted also serves as outside general counsel to his clients and has become a trusted advisor to both senior management and boards by delivering concise, practical, and value driven advice. Often, Ted becomes an integral part of the management team, helping clients confront their legal and business challenges. Clients rely on Ted not only for his legal advice but for his business acumen and strategic insight.

Prior to joining Sellers, P.C., Ted served as the Chief Legal Officer at an international technology start-up in the hospitality industry and as an equity shareholder at a business focused law firm in Atlanta, Georgia. Ted’s unique blend of experience both in-house and in private practice allows Ted to provide a more holistic approach focused on the unique needs of each client.

Ted resides in Grosse Pointe Shores with his wife Stephanie and four sons and is a parishioner at Our Lady Star of the Sea Catholic Church. Outside the practice of law, Ted enjoys coaching youth ice hockey and racing touring cars, having previously competed professionally in the Trans Am series.
